Weekend Warrior: Body Percussion Festival, Cinefranco, The Post Market, Bazaar of the Bizarre, Spacing release party, Rootstock

This weekend, we have culture, entertainment and shopping on the menu. Discover what French cinema has to offer at the Cinefranco festival, or head to the Harbourfront for the Body Percussion Festival, an eclectic and entertaining dance show for the whole family. Cinefranco 

When: Mar. 28 to Apr 6 
Where: The Royal, 608 College St.  
Details: The Francophone International Film Festival is back in Toronto for another year. For movie lovers, French film enthusiasts, or those simply looking for a glimpse of something new, head on down to the Cinefranco box office because these films won't be playing at your local Cineplex. Don't worry if you don't understand French, because all of the films are subtitled in English. A festival pass costs $99 and regular tickets are $12 each. 

Body Percussion Festival

When: Mar. 28 to 30
Where: Toronto Harbourfront Centre, 235 Queens Quay West 
Details: Tap, step, clog, gumboot, hambone, flamenco, kathak and beatboxing – only a few of the dance, movement and voice arts that you'll see at the Body Percussion Festival. An exploration into the human body and it's surprising way of of making rhythm with bare feet, body-slapping and breath, these are shows that you don't want to miss. Tickets range from $25-$30, depending on your choice of seating. 

Spacing Spring 2014 Release Party 

When: Mar. 28, 5:30 pm to 12 am 
Where: 918 Bathurst Centre for Culture, Arts, Media and Education, 918 Bathurst St. 
Details: Canadian magazine Spacing is throwing a release party for their upcoming issue, which explores cycling in Toronto. As official stewards of the Jane Jacobs Prize (celebrating individuals who contribute to Toronto life in unique ways), Spacing will also be announcing the 2014 winners. Party the night away for free and bring home a copy of the magazine before it hits newsstands for $9. 

Rootstock

When: Mar. 29, 6 pm 
Where: Winter Garden Theatre, 189 Yonge Street
Details: Niagara Wine Country is coming to Toronto for a night of music, dinner and wine, of course. The night will be hosted by CBC's Tom Power while artists Steven Page, Alan Doyle and Lindi Ortega will take to the stage. Tickets for the dinner and concert are $121.25, but if you'd rather skip supper you can still join in: concert-only tickets range from $37 to $67.

The Post Market

When: Mar. 29 to 30, 11 am to 5 pm 
Where: 1075 Queen St. East 
Details: Some of the city's best vendors have come together to bring you a weekend market in Leslieville full of adornments for yourself and your home. What should you look out for? Dainty jewels by Nicky Lockett and Muizee, French lavender citrus face and body care products from French Laundry Apothecary, and a stunning, vintage sofa made with a walnut wood frame from J&J MADE. Trust us, you don't want to miss out. 

The Bazaar of Bizarre: Circus Side Show 2014

When: Mar. 30, 11 am to 8 pm
Where: Pia Bouman School for Ballet, 6 Noble St. 
Details: Local artists, designers, craftsmen and strange folk are bringing their hand-made goods to you at this spring marketplace where you'll be able to find all things dark, macabre or just plain weird.
