Doc Wuthergloom’s Haunted Medicine Show

All that’s revealed about this show is that it features a 142-year-old travelling exorcist and some puppets. And like most other productions of late, it’s playing at a secret location.
Eldritch Theatre. Secret Location on Queen Street. Oct. 19–Nov. 6.

The Rocky Horror Show

Though Rocky Horror is about as underground as American Apparel now, its cult appeal still rages on (we’re probably all suckers for the line: “Dammit, Janet, I love you.”) The show sold out last year, so best get your tickets ASAP.
Lower Ossington Theatre, 100A Ossington Avenue, 416-915-6747. Oct. 20–31.

Murder at Twilight

Vampires, old-school monsters and humans? Oh my! Sure, dinner theatre can be kitschy at times, but that’s what makes it so enjoyable. Plus, the audience gets to help solve “whodunit” for those who like to get their Agatha Christie on.
Mysteriously Yours…Mystery Dinner Theatre, 2026 Yonge Street, 1-800-NOT-DEAD. Starts Oct. 7, end date to be determined.

Grindhouse Ghoulies: Halloween Spooktacular

Great Canadian Burlesque and Skin Tight Outta Sight take on sleazy films of the ‘60s and ‘70s. Oh, and there’s a mind reader too.
Revival, 783 College Street, 416-535-7888. Oct. 27 @ 9 p.m.

Night of Dread

For the twelfth year, Clay & Paper Theatre invites us to parade our fears throughout the city streets, which is supposed to help banish them for eternity. More puppetry here, along with cool stilt-walkers and fire-spinners.
Dufferin Grove Park. Oct. 29 @ 4 p.m.
