I actually wrote the framework for this when I was a teenager for an entrepreneurship class. It slowly evolved in the back of my mind. What inspired you to open this spot? People always told me I’d have to grow up one day and become an adult. This place is to prove everyone wrong. You’re never too old to play.
Our classes cover all the bases: ropes, bar strength, mobility, flexibility, strength and endurance. We also offer cryotherapy. What types of classes do you offer? Everything from obstacle course training to stunts for movies to learning a backflip to helping people regain the ability to play.
It’s $20 for some drop-in classes or a day pass. How much does it cost? Drop-in starts at $15 or $20 for a class.
We wanted one thing that was a real challenge to conquer, so we built ascending monkey bars. What’s the most difficult obstacle? There’s a few jumps no one in the gym has been able to do yet. One day! Screw you, gravity.
The cove wall is about applying force in the right direction. Treat it like a set of stairs and go up two or three steps at a time. Upward force gets you up. What’s the trick to conquering the wall climb? Wall climb recipe in three easy steps: lots of speed at the wall, contact foot about waist height, push off tall like you’re stepping up stairs.
It’s definitely a playground for adults. We’ve created a safe space for adults to let their egos take the back seat and really enjoy movement. Is this basically a playground for adults? It’s more than just a playground. It’s a place where we share ideas, solve movement puzzles and challenge each other to become better people.
Hands down, ball pit. When was the last time as an adult you were allowed to play in a ball pit? Ball pit vs. foam pit? Because we use our pit for acro training, foam is the only option.
