I meant to showcase some other Mexican desserts, but everyone kept requesting them, so I had no choice!
Why churros? | I wanted to share the experience of having our churro’s family recipe with everyone. |
I was about seven years old with my grandfather in Cordoba, Mexico, lining up to get a churro from a street vendor.
What’s your first memory of churros?
My grandma making the dulce de leche at the back of the store. |
I can’t eat desserts too early in the morning, so maybe for brunch.
Churros for breakfast:
yes, or no? |
Absolutely yes! Churros are great any time.
| I’ll be serving lots of churros, but I’ll also have a “bandera taco plate,” which will include all of our best tacos. | Planning anything special for Cinco de Mayo? |
Yes! Free churros all day to whoever walks into the store wearing a sombrero.
Not yet, but if I had the chance, I would make some for Salma Hayek. She’d give some honest feedback.
Any famous people
try your churros? |
Julianne Moore, Jennifer Valentyne, Sean Astin. Sean said nothing. He just lined up four times. |
If you have to have a pairing, hot chocolate is the best!
What is the best pairing for a churro?
Our Mexican hot chocolate! |
We have everything we need to win the cup this year, but we need to not get too comfortable until we’re the champions.
Mexico’s chances for the World Cup this summer? |
Without saying much — maybe a nice surprise.
