Toronto’s $1 billion Vegas-style resort and casino is being met with outrage

Well, it happened, and not everyone is happy about it, but a new $1 billion “Vegas-style casino” officially opened in Toronto. Located adjacent to Woodbine Racetrack, the resort includes a 400-room hotel as well as eight dining venues that will range from fine dining to gastropub experiences. The Great Canadian Resort Toronto will also feature a  state-0f-the-art, five-thousand seat live entertainment venue that will feature concerts, sports action and special events.

Introducing the Hangar District, a massive new Toronto neighbourhood

Dubbed the Hangar District for its creative reuse of the soon-to-be decommissioned airport’s hangars, it’s the first phase of Northcrest and Canada Lands Company’s ambitious 520-acre id8 Downsview project. The inaugural phase would incorporate 1.5 million square feet of new studio space and offices in the aerospace facilities in addition to delivering 2,800 residential units in future buildings up to 14 storeys.

Toronto neighbours ongoing fence war makes international headlines

In an incident that has caught the attention of both local and international media, a Toronto resident has made news by cutting down a shared fence without permission. The woman in the video has allegedly instructed her husband to use a chainsaw to dismantle the fence, leaving her neighbours in disbelief. But there was much more to the story.
