Night of Distortion at Corkin Gallery was a costume-optional fundraiser to benefit the immune therapy at Princess Margaret Cancer Centre. This unique event, which was created by Katherine Newman, featured a surrealist art exhibit specially curated by co-host Jane Corkin for the event, as well as fire, hula hoops, human statues, modern dance and iconic music. Prior to the event, celebrity artists Françoise Sullivan, David Urban, Barbara Astman, and Ramón Serrano greeted guests at the VIP reception.
The highlight of this fabulous night was when Emmanuelle Gattuso generously announced she would match the amount the event raised, bringing the total to more than $1 million dollars!
Corkin Gallery is donating 10 percent of all purchases of art from the exhibition to PMH. So, the numbers are still mounting as great artworks are still available until the end of March through the gallery.
