Richmond Hill's Yu Seafood features high-end pescatarian fare

Yu Seafood opened their doors in Richmond Hill at the end of December. They are a high-end Chinese seafood restaurant that specializes in fish and shellfish prepared using traditional Chinese techniques.

Day Wong said some of the methods the restaurant uses include Sake steaming, truffle garlic steaming and they serve a stewed soup that can take hours to cook to perfection. The restaurant only uses fresh seafood in their dishes, transported from Saint John and Norway.

 

Wong said Yu Seafood offers individual VIP rooms for private functions. The rooms have a capacity from 10 to 80 guests and they will provide karaoke for entertainment if requested.

The restaurant seats 300 and the owners recommend making reservations. Yu Seafood is owned by a team of three, who prefer to remain anonymous.
