Richmond Hill’s 10 Best Streets

Part of our 2012 Real Estate Roundtable

Woodland Acres Crescent

It was no contest. In fact, there were no other contenders. Our experts agree, Woodland Acres Cres. is, hands down, Elgin Mills’ top street.

Mill Street

Beginning at Rumble Pond Park and ending near the Richmond Hill Centre for the Performing Arts, Mill St. offers residents proximity to both culture and nature.

Arnold Crescent

Curving to bisect both Yonge St. and Major Mackenzie Dr. W., Arnold Cres. gives residents the advantage of being tucked away while still seconds from the action.

Old Park Lane

Prized for its nearby rolling hills and the breathtaking views it provides its residents, Old Park Ln. is the unanimous choice for best street in Bayview Hill.

Wainwright Avenue

Sure, Hillcrest Mall was great before, but now with Target slated to arrive, this nearby up-and- coming street is tops for savvy fashionistas.

Westwood Lane

An exquisite street in the Richvale area, Westwood Ln. backs onto the vast green of the Richmond Hill Country Club.

Elizabeth Street North

Nestled in Old Richmond Hill, Elizabeth St. N. was once home to Farley Mowat as well as John Bowman, the manager of the Don Valley Brick Works in the 1900s.

Southgate Crescent

Sure to please most palates, this street is a stone’s throw from East Beaver Creek Rd., where many of the area’s top restaurants are found.

Bridlepath Street

This street makes the grade for its proximity to Bayview S.S., which earns top marks when Richmond Hill’s schools are ranked every year.

How long?

317 Days  It is hard to believe this rare century home in idyllic Old Richmond Hill took so long to sell, and for only $635K. A historic buy!

Best bargain

$322,000  A lucky buyer got a great deal on this Cedar Ave. fixer upper on a dead-end street. The best bargain Richmond Hill offered up in 2011.

It's a steal!

Cottonwood Court  This cute, three-bedroom Thornhill home overlooks a beautiful ravine. And, it was the lowest priced home in Thornhill to sell in 2011.
