Many midtowners walk by the luxury residence at 7 Sherwood Lane every day, without ever seeing it or knowing it’s there. The spacious home, tucked away on a quiet lane behind the shops on Yonge St., just south of Sherwood, was once an old dry cleaning plant called Century Cleaners.

Currently listed for $4.895 million with Chesnut Park Real Estate Limited, the property boasts limestone flooring, 14-foot ceilings, spectacular skylights, a mahogany panelled library and a rooftop garden and gazebo. The old Century Cleaners sign can still be found on the brick wall at the back of the house — which some may feel only adds to its character.
