Airbnb and MLSE team up for a contest offering an overnight stay at the ACC

Could there possibly be a better spokesman for a Toronto media stunt than number 93 himself, Doug Gilmour? AirBnb has signed up the Hall of Fame Leafs captain to host a contest with a very attractive prize.

One lucky Leafs fan, plus their guest, will get to watch the Buds play the Habs on January 23 followed by a Raptors game the next day. Given Airbnb’s “everything from a treehouse to a castle” sales pitch the prize naturally also includes an overnight stay in a plushly furnished suite at the Hangar. In keeping with the website’s fashion, the listing includes rules, such as: "Sorry, no pets (Raptors are allowed)."

Extras also include a perch in the penalty box to watch the pre-game skate and access to Mike Babcock's post-game press conference.

The winner will be decided based on 550 character essays (a.k.a. a longish paragraph) on the theme of “Why I'm the biggest Toronto Maple Leafs and Toronto Raptors Fan and what it would mean to me to stay overnight at Air Canada Centre”.

The contest closes December 15 at midnight. Full details on rules and how to enter can be found here
