The Storefront Theatre presents Toronto playwright Claudia Dey’s (pictured above) female hero myth set in the far reaches of northern Ontario. The action takes place between a mother’s suicide and a daughter’s wedding. The show runs from Nov. 11 to 27.
All But Gone: A Beckett Rhapsody
Necessary Angel offers a contemporary exploration of the world of Samuel Beckett, including the short plays Act Without Words I and II, Play and Ohio Impromptu. Directed by the Jennifer Tarver at Berkeley Street Theatre from Oct. 11 to Nov. 6.

Breathing Corpses
Coal Mine Theatre gets all creepy with its season-opening production, Breathing Corpses, by playwright Laura Wade. Expect dead bodies, an angel-of-death chambermaid, a sadistic businesswoman and much more. It stars Simon Bracken (pictured), and runs Oct. 23 to Nov. 13.

Chasse-Galerie
The winner of the Dora Mavor Moore Award for Outstanding Performance gets a remount. The story is based on a Canadian folk tale of four coureuses des bois and a mysterious stranger offering to supernaturally pimp their canoe for a quick flight back to Montreal. Opens Nov. 11.

The Illusionists
Billed as the world’s best-selling magic show, The Illusionists arrives in the city straight from Broadway and features seven incredible illusionists. Thrilled by the Now You See Me films, now is the chance to see a similar style of magic by an amazing ensemble. Runs Dec. 13 to Jan. 7.
