Pageantry olé
Luzia uses nature as a metaphor, and to that end, there are 1,115 different costume elements that mix contemporary with Mexican folkloric inspirations.

Step into liquid
The Luzia dream world is nurtured by rain. There are 94,657 holes in the stage to allow water used in the show to drain into a 3,500-litre basin hidden beneath it.
Circle of life
The giant sphere above the stage represents the sun and moon as well as the Aztec calendar. It also rotates and moves back and forth during the show.

Pan American production
Luzia features music composed by Canadian Simon Carpentier. Majo Cornejo is Cirque du Soleil’s first Mexican singer.

This being a Cirque show it has plenty of acrobatics.

Court jester
Naturally, the protagonist goes for laughs by poking (gentle) fun at audience members.
