Mimi Kypreos prides herself on carrying lines that are hard to find in Canada. “I love making a difference in every client I dress,” says Kypreos. “I build relationships with these women, and I truly care about all of them.” Mimi’s caters to women from age 30 to 70. The shop carries lines such as DL Denim, which appeals to a wide range of figures (retails for under $300), and Minnie Rose, a popular line of cashmere and cotton wraps ($225 to $500). Shopping with a conscience
Want Boutique carries more than 100 labels, such as Nicole Miller and Generation Love. One of the latest is Pitusa from Miami, a collection of cover-ups perfect for summer. After 17 years on Avenue Road, Want has also amassed a number of Canadian labels such as Line knitwear and I Love Tyler Madison. On the charitable side, they recently did a clothing drive for New Circles, a clothing bank turned boutique shopping experience for those in need. Want Boutique, 1788 Avenue Rd.
