Summerhill Market has been an uptown fave for over 60 years (a feat in any industry, let alone food). In addition to gourmet produce, this family-run grocer turns out plenty of eats destined for the lunch table. (Or, let's be honest, the same old desk.)

Popular lunch picks include adorable mini pot pies and salads. We went with the Superfood Bowl ($12), which aims to satiate with a barrage of protein and fibre. A bed of red quinoa arrives bursting with hunks of roasted sweet potato, artichoke hearts, lima beans and kale. Goji berries and pumpkin seeds add crunch (plus beta-carotene and magnesium). Toss in the red pepper aioli and dive right in.

Pair the salad with a fancy cold-pressed juice ($5) and some lemon semolina cake ($6) for good measure.
