What we're able to sell it for and where chose to buy in the first place are intrinsically tied to how well local politicians manage the decisions that keep our city running. This close-knit relationship is why I chose to look at the most popular real estate and local politics posts of 2015 together in one article. I think the top seven give a clear view into the issues that mattered to our readers over the past twelve months.

Strictly speaking, the politics were federal, but judging by the numbers, you appreciated our local look at this year's election.

What do Torontonians care about most? I think the questions of where we live and how we'll get around are near the top of that list. This idea is backed up by the success for both the story where we wondered if stacked townhouses the new condo in Toronto and looked at the challenges that will come with the density that the Eglinton LRT is bringing to midtown.

Who reads the profiles of multimillion dollar homes most of us will never be able to afford? Lots of us do it turns out, especially when said house was the one Regina George called home in Mean Girls.

It's not just lavish private real estate that got attention in 2015. A commercial deal (to buy the iconic El Mocambo concert venue) featured prominently in our profile of Michael Wekerle. 

Last but certainly not least, all eyes were on our annual real estate roundtable. Back in March, we asked our carefully selected panel of experts to prognosticate on what the double influence of record-low interest rates and dropping oil prices would mean for Toronto's real estate market in 2015.
