The past week in restaurants brought news that second locations for Caren's Wine Bar, Diana's Seafood and McEwan Foods are either open or getting close to it.
Just Opened
- Where Le Petit Castor once was, Carens Rosedale (the second location for the Yorkville wine bar) has opened.
- Perhaps to satisfy nostalgic memories of Trader Vic's, the owners of Wrongbar have opened Miss Thing’s on Queen West with a menu of Polynesian food and cocktails.
Coming Soon
- As we reported, Diana’s Seafood is expanding with a 6,000 square-foot second location on Woodbine in Markham.
- Word is that this week will see Mark McEwan open a new location of his successful high-end grocery store, McEwan Foods, in the PATH.

- Table 17, the restaurant that started the current sea change in Leaside dining has closed. But the owners have big plans, including for the revamped Broadview Hotel.
- Le Ti Colibri, Kensington Market’s longstanding and refined bistro has closed and blogTO reports the sad news that it will become a stoner cafe.
