Shoe Fetish: these peep-toe heels from Roberto Capucci

There's comfort to be found in the knowledge that the classic lady-like styles of yesteryear still have a place on retail shelves. We're talking pleated skirts, silk shirts with rounded collars, and shoes that are free of glitter or shiny trinkets.

That said, the shoes pictured above do have tassels. Yes, black patent tassels. However, you can forgive them that small adornment given that it comes atop a shoe in that timelessly chic palette — nude and black.

The Tania peep-toe shoes by Roberto Capucci (he of the notable Italian fashion pedigree) are made in Italy, feature a leather upper and lining, and delicately contrasting trim. They'd pair nicely with trousers, a demure skirt, or even — if you absolutely must — some artfully torn, faded jeans. Just top off the whole thing with a black, downpour-ready trenchcoat.
