Tony Aspler’s Weekly Wine Pick: a full-bodied Portuguese wine

Encruzado is a grape grown in Portugal's Dão region. Full-bodied, soft on the palate, beautifully balanced between sweet fruit and acidity. Dry honeyed peach note and a suggestion of struck-flint on the finish.

Food match: roast chicken; pork chop

Quinta das Marias Encruzado 2011, Portugal, $16.95 (Vintages #364802)
