Move over Nutcracker. Just in time for the holidays, Canadian Stage announced today that they will be remounting Venus in Fur at the Berkeley Street Theatre from December 13-29.
The risque comedy, which ran earlier this fall at the Bluma Appel Theatre, will feature Jennifer Tarver directing once again, as well as Rick Miller and Carly Street in their original roles of Thomas and Vanda, for which the duo received critical acclaim for their onstage chemistry. The set design of the hit production will be reworked for the Berkeley Downstairs Theatre.
“We couldn't be more excited to remount the show in our more intimate, see-it-up-close Berkeley Street Theatre space,” said Matthew Jocelyn, artistic and general director of Canadian Stage. “Our holiday gift to those who saw the show and want to see it again, as well as to those that missed it the first time around.”
