Local activist hosts new talk show

The Angel Freedman Show tackles social issues online

High-ranking politicians, city councillors and members of the community are beginning to appear on-camera to tackle local issues on the area’s newest talk show.

Key local influencers, including member of provincial parliament Reza Moridi and Ward 2 councillor Carmine Perrelli, are set to join The Angel Freeman Show to discuss topics spanning parenting, technology, regional issues and more.

Richmond Hill’s Angel Freedman, its host and a well-known local activist, said she wanted to get people talking about topics the 905 struggles with, especially separation and divorce.

“There’s really nothing like it yet. I think that people want more education; they want to know what’s going on.” she said. “Like, what’s going on in York Region?”

The first episode was broadcast in mid-August via an online stream hosted by AllTalkTV.com, and viewership seems to be growing, she said.

Freedman hopes to host a new show every week but requires sponsors to help pay for production costs, and she is actively looking for help.

The third Angel Freedman Show episode airs Sept. 10, 2012.
