Speed-the-Plow
In David Mamet’s 1988 play, the bottom line beats out artistry and idealism in Hollywood. Surprise, surprise. But, in Mamet’s hands, a trite notion becomes razor-sharp comedy with his trademark rapid-fire dialogue and, of course, swearing. Lots of swearing.

Mr. Marmalade
Once compared to an episode of Rugrats on LSD, this site-specific play takes place in a kindergarten class and centres around four-year-old Lucy and her abusive relationship with her imaginary friend, Mr. Marmalade.

Best of the Fringe Theatre Festival

Toronto Burlesque Festival
One of the oldest forms of entertainment (it’s been around since at least the 17th century) gets a modern twist with the fifth installment of the Toronto Burlesque Festival. The (free) opening gala kicks off the titillating theatrical experience with an art reception and performances, including Naked Girls Reading.

Porch View Dances
