Freed Developments is announcing a new $800-million Freed Hotel and Residences at Adelaide and Duncan complete with a master work of contemporary art and a massive new restaurant to the city.
Designed by the esteemed Adrian Smith + Gordon Gill Architecture, known for work such as the Jeddah Tower in Saudi Arabia and Central Park Tower in New York. The tower will feature 100 hotel rooms and 400 luxury condo units complemented by a sky-high bar and restaurant on the 63rd floor, a boutique spa, and a 10,000 sq ft Katsuya Restaurant on the 2nd floor.

Adding to the allure of the Freed Hotel and Residences is the inclusion of artwork by Takashi Murakami, one of the most influential contemporary artists of our time. Murakami’s iconic piece, “Together with the Flower Parent and Child,” will grace the lobby, offering residents and guests a glimpse into his captivating visual universe.
Toronto’s DesignAgency takes the reins in crafting the interiors of the Freed Hotel and Residences, ensuring a seamless fusion of contemporary architecture with captivating design elements.

The 62nd-floor Sky Lobby will boast a magnificent staircase that ascends to the 63rd-floor restaurant and bar, set within a soaring 70-foot-tall space beneath a gently sloping skylight. Additionally, the tower will offer a boutique spa, a serene terrace with an outdoor garden, exclusive spaces for private entertaining and dining, a state-of-the-art fitness and yoga studio, a private theatre room, and a myriad of other amenities.

The Freed Hotel and Residences is scheduled to begin sales in March 2024 and will be located at 240 Adelaide Street West.
