Three arrested after raid on Leaside dispensary
Toronto Police Service arrested three people following a raid on a marijuana dispensary near Bayview Avenue and Manor Road East in Leaside.

On Oct. 19, at approximately 2:35 p.m., officers from Toronto Police Service 53 Division Major Crime Unit executed a search warrant at Eden Medicinal Society at 1625 Bayview Ave. as part of a Controlled Drugs and Substances Act investigation.

Three Toronto residents working at the dispensary, all 24 years old, were arrested and charged with possession of a schedule II substance and possession of proceeds of property obtained by crime.
They are scheduled to appear in court Nov. 30.

Man charged for 19 break-ins in midtown
A 28-year-old male suspect has been arrested after Toronto Police Service identified him as the alleged suspect wanted for numerous break-ins in Midtown neighbourhoods.

It is alleged that from July 2016 to September 2016, a suspect broke into multiple homes, during the overnight hours, in the Leaside, Rosedale and Yorkville areas.

The suspect gained entry into the homes through unlocked doors and windows. Once inside, the suspect took jewellery, cash and electronics.

On Oct. 5, at 2 a.m., the Mississauga resident was arrested in Peterborough.

He was charged with 19 counts of break and enter and sexual assault. 

Rosedale residents on alert after reoccurring break-ins 
Toronto Police Service is requesting the public's assistance identifying a male suspect wanted in several breaking-and-entering investigations. 

Early in the morning on Sept. 28, a male suspect committed several break-ins in the Summerhill Avenue and Glen Road area. This is a continuation of similar break-ins within 53 Division in mid-August 2016. All entries were into residential homes with unsecured doors and windows. 

Residents in the area are reminded to safeguard their homes by keeping an exterior light on after dark and ensuring all windows and doors are secured and alarms or surveillance equipment is functional.

Police are asking residents to report any suspicious activity, persons or vehicles. 

Woman sexually assaulted at Bay subway station
Toronto Police Service is requesting the public’s assistance in identifying and locating a male suspect wanted in a sexual assault investigation. 

On Aug. 31, at approximately 5 p.m., officers responded to a call for a sexual assault at Bay subway station.

A 25-year-old female victim was standing on the westbound platform when she was approached by a male suspect. The suspect sexually assaulted her. She managed to push him away and board a train.

The suspect is described as being in his late 40s. A security camera video of the suspect has now been released.

Police are concerned there may be other victims.
