Drake’s emotional farewell to Toronto: “Goodbye, my beautiful city”

We all know how much Drake loves the 6ix and the rapper’s latest social media post is once again shining a light on his hometown.

On Monday, Drizzy took to Instagram to bid Toronto farewell for now, as he prepares to embark on a summer tour  with “Her Loss” collaborator 21 Savage. In his Instagram post, he says he wants to make his home city “proud.”

“Goodbye my beautiful city,” he wrote on his Instagram story on Monday alongside a photo of the CN Tower. ‘I haven’t left for this reason in over 6 years but I hope I can make you proud once again. I love you all. Have an amazing summer and pls try to take care of each other. See you in October,” he wrote.
Drake is set to hit the road for his “It’s All A Blue Tour” on June 29 with the first stop in  Memphis, Tennessee. The Canadian legend and 21 Savage will visit a total of 54 cities across North America, and  includes six shows in Canada including two stops in Montreal and two in Vancouver.
The tour runs until October with the 36-year-old closing out the tour in his hometown on October 5 and October 7.
The “Nonstop” rapper recently made headlines when he claimed  top spot for nominations at the BET Awards. His noms include Best Male Hip Hop Artist, Best Male R&B/Pop Artist, Album of the Year and Viewer’s Choice Award.

The BET awards will air live on Sunday June 25 at 8 p.m. Tickets for Drake and 21 Savage are on sale now.
