A security guard was shot and injured in front of Drake’s Bridle Path mansion in Toronto early Tuesday morning.
Toronto Police were called at around 2 a.m. to the scene of a shooting that occurred at the rapper’s residence at 21 Park Lane Circle. A security guard who was standing by the gates outside of the home was shot. The man was taken to the hospital and remains in serious condition.

“I cannot confirm if Drake was home at the time the incident occurred, but I can tell you that we are in contact with his team and they are cooperating,” Toronto police Insp. Paul Krawczyk told the media in a press conference, adding that “information is very limited at this time.”
When asked if the incident could possibly have anything to do with the rap feud between Drake and Kendrick Lamar, Krawczyk said that he is aware of the feud but police don’t have a motive at this time as it’s too early in the investigation.
“I can say that we have already gathered some video evidence which captures the incident,” he confirmed, adding that a vehicle was involved and fled the scene.
Drake (a.k.a. Aubrey Graham) and Lamar have been feuding for years, but Lamar took it a step further earlier this year when he was featured on Future’s no. 1 track “Like That”, with his lyrics, “…’Fore all your dogs gettin’ buried / That’s a K with all these nines, he gon’ see Pet Sematary,” apparently referencing “First Person Shooter,” a collaboration between Drake and J. Cole that was included on Drake’s 2023 album For All the Dogs.
In that song, J. Cole referenced Lamar, Drake and himself as the “Big Three,” which Lamar apparently took offence to — enough that he’s since released four diss tracks about Drake in record time, and Drake has responded with two, both levelling some serious allegations against each other.
The cover of Lamar’s latest diss track “Not Like Us,” released last Saturday, features an image of what appears to be Drake’s mansion with red markers across it.
