Greta Constantine previews a detail-oriented spring/summer 2013 collection

After designers Kirk Pickersgill and Stephen Wong of Greta Constantine showed their spring 2013 collection to buyers in Paris, they deemed a Toronto Fashion Week catwalk extravaganza to be, well, unnecessary. Instead, the boys chose to do things their way, showing the goods just as the holiday season comes into full swing.

Grab of the Week: a memoir of a fashion icon

Grace Coddington is Anna Wintour’s right hand woman, and she is one of the most powerful people in fashion. The Eaton Centre’s new “Christmas tree” manages to weird out just about everyone

Looking like something from Elle Woods’ living room, or even something Lady Gaga might wear, the Eaton Centre’s pink-and-purple Christmas “tree” was unveiled on Thursday to a number of baffled Torontonians. Missing from the tree are traditional red and green Christmas colours, a trunk, branches — you know, things that a Christmas tree usually has. Below, a roundup of our favourite tweets about the yucky yuletide structure.

Grab of the Week: a mood ring for nostalgia’s sake (and for a good cause)

If you told us you had never heard of a mood ring because you weren’t around in the ’70s, we wouldn’t believe you. We can’t think of one girl since the ring’s invention in 1975 that hasn’t been intrigued by the idea of a wearable liquid crystal thermometer. How else are we to ever know how we are truly feeling inside?

What I Wore: an Ann Taylor outfit that’s comfy enough for bed

Fashion pajamas. What are they? My favourite kind of clothing. They help get me through the day feeling like I’ve spent it in bed, watching TV, without actually looking that way. Our top picks from Maison Martin Margiela’s upcoming H&M collection

Grab of the Week: a pair of flat shoes that actually fits into your clutch

If you recently spotted an increase in women teeter-tottering in sky-high heels (during Toronto Fashion Week, perhaps?) and wondered how they could manage spending the day in those beautiful (but torturous) shoes, we’re going to let you in on a secret.
