After designers Kirk Pickersgill and Stephen Wong of Greta Constantine showed their spring 2013 collection to buyers in Paris, they deemed a Toronto Fashion Week catwalk extravaganza to be, well, unnecessary. Instead, the boys chose to do things their way, showing the goods just as the holiday season comes into full swing.

Grace Coddington is Anna Wintour’s right hand woman, and she is one of the most powerful people in fashion. A former model, Coddington has held the title of Creative Director of American Vogue for more than 20 years. Now, at 71, she has released a memoir, finally giving us the chance to fuel our obsession with her (and that flaming red hair) even more so than we first caught a glimpse of the true Grace in The September Issue.

Looking like something from Elle Woods’ living room, or even something Lady Gaga might wear, the Eaton Centre’s pink-and-purple Christmas “tree” was unveiled on Thursday to a number of baffled Torontonians. Missing from the tree are traditional red and green Christmas colours, a trunk, branches — you know, things that a Christmas tree usually has. Below, a roundup of our favourite tweets about the yucky yuletide structure.

If you told us you had never heard of a mood ring because you weren’t around in the ’70s, we wouldn’t believe you. We can’t think of one girl since the ring’s invention in 1975 that hasn’t been intrigued by the idea of a wearable liquid crystal thermometer. How else are we to ever know how we are truly feeling inside?

Fashion pajamas. What are they? My favourite kind of clothing. They help get me through the day feeling like I’ve spent it in bed, watching TV, without actually looking that way.
